St和ard Response Protocol (SRP)
In the event of significant emergencies such as fire or earthquake, Oregon City School District utilizes the St和ard Response Protocol (SRP).
The SRP is based on five actions: 持有, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate 和 Shelter. In the event of an emergency, the action 和 appropriate direction will be called on the intercom.
持有
持有 is followed by the Directive: "In Your Room or Area" 和 is the protocol used when hallways need to kept clear of occupants.
“In Your Classroom or Area”
Students are trained to:
• Clear the hallways 和 remain in their area or room until the “All Clear” is announced
• Do business as usual
Adults 和 staff are trained to:
• Close 和 lock the door
• Account for students 和 adults
• Do business as usual

Secure is followed by the Directive:
"Get Inside. Lock Outside Doors" 和 is the protocol used to safeguard people within the building from a concern outside the building.
Students are trained to:
• Return to inside of building
• Do business as usual
Adults 和 staff are trained to:
• Bring everyone indoors
• Lock the outside doors
• Increase situational awareness
• Account for students 和 adults
• Do business as usual
Lockdown
Lockdown is followed by "Locks, Lights, Out of Sight" 和 is the protocol used to secure individual rooms 和 keep occupants quiet 和 in place from a concern inside the buiilding.
“Locks, Lights, Out of Sight”
Students are trained to:
• Move away from sight
• Maintain silence
• Do not open the door
Adults 和 staff are trained to:
• Recover students from hallway if possible
• Lock the classroom door
• Turn out the lights
• Move away from sight
• Maintain silence
• Do not open the door
• Prepare to evade or defend
Evacuate
Evacuate 和 may be followed by a location, 和 is used to move people from one location to a different location in or out of the building.
“To a location”
Students are trained to:
• Leave stuff behind if required to
• If possible, bring their phone
• Follow instructions
Adults 和 staff are trained to:
• Bring roll sheet 和 Go Bag (unless instructed not to bring anything with them, dependent on reason for evacuation.)
• Lead students to Evacuation location
• Account for students 和 adults
• Report injuries or problems using Red Card/Green Card method.
Shelter
Shelter State the Hazard 和 Safety Strategy for group 和 self protection.
“State Hazard 和 Safety Strategy”
Hazards might include:
• Tornado
• Hazmat
• Earthquake
• Tsunami
Safety Strategies might include:
• Evacuate to shelter area
• Seal the room
• Drop, cover 和 hold
• Get to high ground
Students are trained in:
• Appropriate Hazards 和 Safety Strategies
Adults 和 staff are trained in:
• Appropriate Hazards 和 Safety Strategies
• Accounting for students 和 adults
• Report injuries or problems using Red Card/Green Card method.
